Capital Gains Tax
The Gambia taxes an individual's capital gains, including gains on shares, at the higher of 15% of the gain or 5% of the sale consideration. Companies, partnerships, and trustees instead pay the higher of 25% of the gain or 10% of the consideration.
Wealth Tax
No net wealth tax is identified in the Gambia's tax framework. The official Gambia Revenue Authority lists the taxes it administers — domestic VAT, import VAT, corporate income tax, personal income tax, PAYE, capital gains tax, and rental income tax — with no annual net wealth tax among them.
