Thresholds apply to Q, the taxpayer's annual per-share taxable income under Gabon's family-quotient mechanism, not to total gross income directly; Q is computed from annual income less a 20% allowance, divided by a number of shares that rises with marital status and dependent children.

Gabon's IRPP is a progressive tax computed on income divided into shares under a family-quotient mechanism. The top marginal rate is 35%, applying to taxable income per share above XAF 11,000,000.
